All teacher trainees have the opportunity to broaden their teaching experience by teaching our weekly Karma yoga classes.
Personal Practice Hours
Minimum of 40 hours
A A minimum of 40 hours is required of your own personal yoga practice – Yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory. In order to teach you must have a strong personal practice. These hours can be completed by taking any yoga classes at Kula Yoga from November – February.
We recommend taking various workshops that will be taking place with the Vancouver yoga community. Any workshops or classes taken may also be used towards these 40 hours.
As an example, this would equal taking 32 yoga classes that are 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Or 27 yoga classes that are one and a half hours long. There are many daily classes to choose from before or after the hours of the teacher training. (Don’t worry, this boils down to 3 or 4 yoga classes per week if spread out. Yoga class attendance is logged on individual sign-in sheets).
