Kula Yoga’s 200-Hour Teacher Training Certification is recognized by the Yoga Association of British Columbia (YABC). The yoga teacher training program is held at our studio in Port Moody, conveniently located near Vancouver and accessible to residents throughout the Lower Mainland.
Choose Between Two Sessions:
- Summer Immersion Program (August 2010)
- Winter Part-Time (November 2010 thru February 2011)

Course Objective

This foundational program systematically deepens your experience and understanding of the philosophical roots and history of the Hatha Yoga traditions. Develop skills to teach a yoga class including aspects of pranayama (classical breathing techniques), asana (yoga postures), chakras, guided meditation, and yoga anatomy.

Who Should Attend
Serious Students
This program offers instruction in beginning and intermediate levels of pranayama, meditation and asanas. It is ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in an intense discipline to deepen a practice. It is not essential that you want to become a yoga teacher.
Yoga Teachers
For those who would like to teach, or for those who are already teaching, this course is designed to expand your knowledge of the theory and practices of yoga, as well as develop and enhance your teaching skills. Due to the intensive nature of this training, previous yoga experience is recommended, but not necessary.
