hatha The word hatha comes from the Sanskrit terms ha, meaning "sun", and tha, meaning "moon". Hatha is the most popular form of yoga and is the basis for other types of yoga such as Power, Bikram, Ashtanga and Kundalini. Hatha yoga is the branch of yoga that unites pairs of opposites referring to the positive (sun) and the negative (moon) currents in our system. Hatha yoga helps you achieve balance between body, mind, and spirit. Through the continued practice of asanas, or poses, you will gain flexibility and strength, relieve tension and stress and become more centered and aware.
